Momentum Counseling & Consulting is an organization that offers support to clients navigating through challenging family dynamics and stressful relationship processes. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), my main goals are to help my clients understand themselves better, learn to manage their anxiety more effectively, and show up more intentionally and authentically in their relationships with others.

I utilize a Bowen Family Systems Theory framework and I have 12 years of specialized experience working with survivors of human trafficking, sexual abuse, and domestic violence. I offer talk therapy sessions to individuals, couples, and families, as well as consultations and clinical workshops for professionals. Through my ongoing work as a counselor, consultant, trainer, and researcher, I strive to collaborate with my clients as they develop the skills and capabilities they need to navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.

If you choose to work with me, you'll experience shame-free specialized support in a safe, calm environment. This is an opportunity for you to get to know yourself and your relationship systems better. Together we'll get curious, learn, and process at your own pace.

I believe that long-term growth is shaped by the small, intentional, and thoughtful steps a person chooses to take every single day. These steps help to build the forward momentum a person needs to persevere in the moments when life gets messy. • I believe that research is important for furthering the field of mental health counseling and for developing a theory that is grounded in facts. This past year I have taken the first step by completing my dissertation research on differentiation of self, family unit functioning, and posttraumatic growth experiences in adult female survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST) as a part of my PhD in Developmental Psychology.

Over the next several years, I hope to continue to conduct and publish new research that expands our current understanding of Bowen Theory, human trafficking dynamics in the United States, posttraumatic growth, differentiation of self, and family systems theory. I am available for partnering with individuals who intend to conduct research in similar areas, and who are interested in learning more about how to conduct and publish research in the field.
